Terms & Cancellation Policy

1. Provider and scope

These Terms apply to contracts for Accounting Prep digital learning content between Joel Stuböck, trading as JS Digital Ventures, Hauptstraße 41, 88367 Hohentengen, Germany (“Provider”), and consumers. The offer is available only to persons aged 18 or over.

2. Product

Accounting Prep is a digital introductory accounting course for learners with little or no prior knowledge. Lessons 1 and 2 are free. Paid access includes the lessons, exercises, cases, visual material, glossary content, and other learning material stated on the offer page. The scope shown immediately before ordering controls.

3. Formation of contract

The course presentation is an invitation to order, not a binding offer. The customer selects paid access, provides the required confirmations, and places a binding order through the clearly labelled checkout process. The contract is formed when payment succeeds and access is activated. Input errors can be corrected before the final order button is selected. The contract language is English or German according to the selected version.

4. Price, payment, and tax

The total price displayed immediately before the order applies. This is a one-time payment and not a subscription. Stripe processes payments, and the available methods are displayed at Checkout. The Provider intends to use the German small-business VAT scheme under § 19 UStG. Tax treatment for consumers outside Germany and its presentation at Checkout will be finalised before sales begin.

5. Delivery and technical requirements

Digital access is provided through the website after successful payment. A current browser, internet connection, enabled JavaScript, and a strictly necessary access cookie are required. The customer must keep any recovery information secure.

6. Licence

The customer receives a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the content for learning. Access data and recovery keys must not be shared or sold. Automated extraction, public distribution, and commercial reuse are prohibited except where mandatory law permits them.

7. Updates and availability

The Provider supplies updates required by law and may make objectively justified changes while preserving the contractual benefit and mandatory rights for digital products. Temporary interruptions may occur for maintenance, security, or technical reasons.

8. Conformity rights and liability

Statutory rights concerning defective digital products remain unaffected. Liability is unlimited for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body, or health, and wherever otherwise required by law. For ordinary negligence, liability is limited, where legally permissible, to breach of essential contractual duties and foreseeable loss typical of the contract.

9. Educational nature

The course is general educational preparation and is not individual accounting, tax, financial, investment, or legal advice. No particular examination, study, or professional result is promised.

10. Cancellation instructions

Right to cancel

You have the right to cancel this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The cancellation period is fourteen days from the date the contract is concluded. To exercise this right, inform Joel Stuböck, JS Digital Ventures, Hauptstraße 41, 88367 Hohentengen, Germany, email: [NOT YET ACTIVE: support@accounting-prep.com], by an unequivocal statement. Sending the statement before the deadline is sufficient.

Early expiry for digital content

For digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, the right to cancel expires when performance begins after you have expressly consented to performance beginning before the cancellation period ends, acknowledged that your right to cancel expires when performance begins, and received the legally required contract confirmation on a durable medium.

11. Consumer dispute resolution

The Provider is neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute-resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

12. Governing law

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For consumers, this choice does not remove mandatory protection provided by the law of the country in which they habitually reside.
